We’re hiring for a seasonal, part-time position at the Capital City Farmers Market in Montpelier!
We’re looking for a reliable, friendly individual to support the EBT/SNAP benefits table every Saturday from May through October. This role supports access to fresh, local food and is a key part of the market community.
Details:
• Saturdays only (May–Oct)
• 3 - 4 hours per day
• $15/hour - $18/hour
• Location: Capital City Farmers Market; 133 State Street, Montpelier
• 27 markets total over the season
Responsibilities include:
• Operating a tablet to process EBT/SNAP transactions
• Assist with setting up the EBT/SNAP table and tent
• Handling cash and making change
• Providing excellent customer service to market shoppers
Ideal candidate:
• Comfortable with basic technology
• Trustworthy with cash handling
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
